5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Fantastic, a must have to your CD collection., 10 Aug 2000

An Album that takes you through a whole road of feelings, from the funky "Am I Here Yet" to the Carming "Bitter Fruit" Every song is unique in it's own way. Billie has shown her talent to be one of a kind. I myself was surprised with how far she could go. In Vertigo she show what she can do with ehr voice. both on the track "Vertigo" and the album as a whole. "Growing, Pains" was just the beggining for miss Myers, vertigo should be had by everyone. Singles I would suggest for the UK are "Am I Here Yet" "Should I Call You Jesus?" A Room Full Of You" and "Roll Over Beetoven" Clearly Billie was not to be a one hit wonder, in my book shes a winner and so is this album. Miss Billie Myers Is Just Getting Started To Rock The World!

5.0 out of 5 stars Much Improved & Catchy Tunes, 26 April 2004

I first heard of Billie Myers when "Kiss The Rain" got into the top 10 inthe UK. I liked the song but the I prefered "Tell Me", for much Indianinfluenced rock song.
Returning for a second album, this one is a muchmore focused effort with some great chord orientated songs. What surprisedme most was that the songs often go on for over 5 minutes as many songsseems to have a little introduction, some samples of other peoples workthat then interweave into her own, and lots of little extra set pieces atthe end of songs. The production and sound quality are noticeably greattoo.
My personal favourite is a song called "Should I Call You Jesus?".It has a great pop-rock sound, some catchy lyrics and showcases Billiestalent.
A collectively better work than "Growing Pains", I suggest you start hereto get to know Billie's music.
