Product Description

Synopsis

A collection of modernist anarchist poems by Paul Macjoyce reflecting on the realities of Britain circa 2000 AD from the underclass perspective.

From the Author

This book is my contribution to re-establishing an intelligent, politicised, British and working-class identity. Obviously it can't do this by itself, but my hope is that it can trigger fellow-feeling, and show that you don't have to be draped in dollar signs and talk like an American in order to say something worthwhile and knock out a few decent rhymes.

The book is anti-politically-correct and anti-capitalist. It is nationalistic and entirely unpatriotic. It believes in the beauty of language, the importance of culture, and puerile humour. Large chunks of it are facetious, and smaller chunks are sarcastic and not to be taken literally.

Overall though, it is a call for my people to develop themselves, to destroy idiotic chavvy geezerism and the machine which spoonfeeds it to them.
