Veronica Bennett was born in 1953 in the UK. She has written several books for children and young adults since her first novel, Monkey, was published in 1998. She worked as an English lecturer until 2006, when she became a full-time writer. Writing as Natasha May, she is the author of the Poppy Love series for 7 to 9-year olds, about a young ballroom dancer.
