A week ago I set up this network hard drive on our home network of two desktops and two laptops so that we could share files more easily and as a base for backups. I am absolutely delighted with it. It does what I want very easily, and could do a lot more besides - but I think I'd need training as a network administrator first. The user manual is thorough, and clearly written in proper English - as a network novice I had to read it pretty carefully but it all made sense. Don't forget to set the windows workgroup to match what you have on your PCs (even if you are on Win 7 and think in terms of homegroups). Physically it is quiet and inconspicuous, I can just tuck it away on a shelf and almost forget it. As well as being a hard drive it works as a print server too, so you can share a USB printer on the network without a particular PC having to be the server. I haven't yet connected an auxiliary external USB hard drive to it, as to do this I will have to reformat the auxiliary to FAT32, but this seems like a useful capability too, for making another drive available on the network. I can't yet vouch for reliability, but no problems yet and Verbatim is a good name. Very pleased with it.
