Needing some more portable storage space, I opted for this drive and have found it absolutely brilliant. It works straight out of the box, is fast (USB2) and you can choose whether or not to make use of the preloaded Nero backup software. Just plug it in to your computer, and it will set itself up and off you go.
As to needing a manual, the quick start guide gives you all you need and if you really want to read the full manual, it is preloaded onto the drive.
All in all, great value for money.

This portable hard drive is a mean machine, it's a very hi-Speed USB device, and it's ultra slim and fit's into the palm your hand. I have an acer notebook with windows vista with know problems loading it on, however if you are using a USB 1.1 port on your Windows computer or notebook you may have this cautionary note appear on your display. (Hi-Speed USB Device plugged into a non H-Speed USB hub.) This does not mean you cannot use this, because it's compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports. Just close the message and proceed. All it's saying is that it will only operate at USB 1.1 speed. I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this hard drive. I only found one downside and it's not the product it's self, but the fact that like all products you seem to purchase today they never give you a written user manual. Unfortunatly you need to download the English manual in pdf format, you get every country in the EU. Once you delete all of them your home and dry. That's the only downside, the product it's self is great and well worth the extra money.
