Verbatim Double Layer Discs provide a massive 8.5GB storage capacity. The double layer of recording has been made possible by the creation of a new substrate layer that sits in between each recording layer, that allows the laser beam to record on both layers. Once the first layer has been recorded, the laser is re-focused to record on the second layer.

If you using these discs to burn XBOX 360 backups. Then there is no better disc if you are using the macs superdrive other cheaper discs like AONE will not work as the heat is too much for them. i can't recommend these enough

This is a recommendable DL disc and one that has never let me down, ever. I note that the price has gone up two Pounds in the last month or two with amazon, which is unfortunate given that there are other places to buy these cheaper. Finally, I also note that the larger size pack of these actually costs you more to buy per disc.

I have bought Verbatim discs for sometime now and have never had a bad one. Despite doubts expressed elsewhere about the reliability of Verbatim discs from different regions, I have had great results with these labelled both Singapore & India. I shall continue to use Verbatim when I need a reliable result. Verbatim, Maxell & TDK are names that I have come to trust. Buy with confidence.

Verbatim dual layer discs
discs do exactly what i wanted to do that is back up disc for my laptop as normal discs too small, well pleased with quality, would buy again if ever i needed more.

Good Seller not sure about the Product
Never spent so much time burning a 160 min film to disc. How chronic is DVD technology still? Using a Windows 7 laptop 3GB RAM, ok a Celeron processor but 6 hours to burn 1 disc!! Read more

They always work well, but the actual data you can store on them is 8152mb and not the 8.5gb stated in the description.
