i have had over 400 verbatim dvd-rs and dvd-rws, only 1 disc has not worked, I always chose verbatim now and will continue to do so

I bought these rewritable disc's based on the other reviews and the price. But they don't work on my Philips DVD recorder.I have another make of disc, and they work fine. I contacted Philips about this and they could only suggest using another make of disc.This all seemed very stange to me. As even a high street shop couldn't advise,I searched on the internet for an answer, and I think I found it. I didn't know or realise that there were different types of discs.Some recorders will only recognise DVD-RW OR DVD+RW NOT BOTH.My recorder seems to only recognise the DVD+RW version. These Verbatim DVD-RW discs work fine on a friends Panasonic recorder. Hope this helps.

Not re-writable
Although sold as re-writable, they are not: my Panasonic DMR-EX99VWB DVD recorder treats them as read-only. I see I'm not alone with this problem.

what can i say u can reburn stuff works good but the delivery was very slow...

Verbatim DVD blanks 43639
Have used but a couple of the Verbatim DVD blanks 43639,
experimenting write,erase,rewrite at least three times
and they show no sign of 'fatigue'.
Slow but good.
