The 'mechanical specifications' of Verbatim media are very precise, and data written to it can be read in a wide range of drives. Amazon Verified Purchase
Following advice on a number of web sites, I only use Verbatim for DVD's and mostly use them for CD's. It is very rary to get a faulty Verbatim disc where as it's not unusal to get a few faulty ones with cheaper discs. Basically I would say these are excellent value for money. CD's record well, cases are good quality.

Normally, I buy CD-Rs and DVD-Rs on large sprindles and keep burned media in packets or spare spindles, but sometimes I've needed a case to give something to a friend so been stuck. This is the answer - a great CD (I really trust them after several years), plus the cases, in a nice small bundle - I don't need 50 or 100 of them. I'd recommend and by again for myself.

Unlike the previous reviewer I've had no problem in getting up to 90 mins of music onto these discs. The caveat is that not all cd-burners or burning software will support overburning which is required for these discs.
