DVDs and CDs from the Taiyo Yuden have the reputation for remembering your data. There are many dodgier makes than these, but don't expect any DVD-RW to store data for long, use DVD-Rs instead, or if possible, CD-Rs.

Since purchasing these discs I have had great trouble formatting them.
I have only managed to format 1 ( after many attempts ) out 5 discs.
Have tried on a friends dvd recorder also....but no luck .
