this books presents very well and is colourful and lively to look at. however, we did find a lot of mistakes and wrong information. It does not appear to have been very well researched and needs updating. One would expect telephone numbers to be correct and a lot of them don't even start with the correct code.

Although this book is attractive to look at, it contains many errors, even in such simple things as telephone numbers. It lacks in depth research and attention to detail and can't compare with Angela Bird's "The English Family Guide to the Vendee."

This was the only guide book for La Rochelle I could locate before visiting .It was not up to date but I was aware of this and it was in excellent condition
