Excellent album 2 April 2007

I have to admit, I was worried that Chevelle's new album wouldn't be great, but I am very glad to say I was wrong. This album gets under your skin and pushes all the right buttons, from start to finish in an emotional journey you will want to take again and again. As expected, it's tight and polished, but that doesn't diminish the intensity and power. In a few songs there is a noticeable, though restrained, use of a synth, which is a slight departure for Chevelle, but it works brilliantly. Chevelle stand head and shoulders above their peers, their music is almost instantly accessible, but has real longevity. Stand out tracks for me are Saferwaters, Antisaint and Humanoid. Having said that though, every track on the album is good. Available April 9 2007 - buy it now!

This Australian version's got 5 additional tracks from previous albums: 'The Red', 'Send the Pain Below', 'Closure', 'Vitamin R' and 'The Clincher'. Awesome band, amazing album!

I bought this album a few weeks ago and I take it with me like an organ I need. It is simply awesome... It is a thing of great power and beauty. It improves your life. It makes you better in bed. It gives you extra tusk. Bullets will slide off you... If you like Tool, this is right up your street. If you like U2, grow a pair and buy this. Give your U2 CD's to a charity shop. Best album I have bought in years.
