I already owned a powermonkey which was very intermittent when charging my Nokia E71 phone. When i bought an ipod touch 4g the other week and started chucking every free and cheap app under the sun on it, i soon realised the battery was going to take a pounding, especially after a weekend immersed in the world of those pesky angry birds!
Needless to say my troublesome powermonkey rendered itself completely useless by not being compatible. That was just the push i needed to buy a new back-up power supply and having weighed all the pros and cons with this and the other 5000mAh supplies i opted for this.
Let me say i'm more than impressed. Apart from looking very chic it was fully charged when it arrived, which fooled me a bit as i thought it was faulty. It says you should charge it for minimum 5 hours befor use, but what i didn't know is when it's fully charged it turns itself off. So when i plugged it in for it's initial 5 hour charge the LED's lasted about 5 mins before going out. Anyway, I quickly sussed it was fully charged and went about the business of seeing how much juice I could get from one charge.
My Ipod touch has been charged 3 times from empty, my Nokia E71 once from about 40% full, and my MUVI mini camcorder from half full, and the LED is now indicating LOW. It's now being charged up by me for the first time.
You will easily get 4 full charges for your ipod touch or iphone out of this and if, like me, Angry Birds and doodle jump have gripped your psyche, then purchasing this is a no-brainer.
