One of the liberating facts of being a vegetarian is that you no longer have to go with traditional foods - it's no longer expected by family and friends - using this book I have been able to cook two Christmas dinners that were different, exciting and good to eat.
Rose Elliot's advice on what could be prepared and frozen prior to the big day was also very usefull.
I would recomend any vegetarian to have this recipe book amongest their collection

This book is full of recipes for xmas, although it doesn't use meat substitute, but nuts instead, so it's more like the original way of vegetarian cooking instead of the more modern way with faux meat.

It's still a very good, and interesting book, and there are a few vegan options too, which is also useful, as I am kind of trying my hand at some vegan cookery.

There's not many pictures, just a few in the center of the book to give a few ideas of what the recipes are like

So basically, it's a good old fashioned vegetarian xmas cookery book.....

A festive collection of savories and sweets, some quite decadent, for a vegetarian feast or as a focus or amuse-buche for a regular meal.

Many are egg and/or cheese heavy, so vegans would need to make adjustments.

This cookbook is also an inspiring reference for flavor combinations and jumping-off points. The recipes that I have tried have all come out successfully.
