I just finished reading this book and i've found it great!
First of all, i've found it very inspiring!
Reading it, for me, it's like standing on the shoulders of giants!
Now i know that someone succeeded in getting big and staying fit with a vegan diet, and i also have a part of the knowledge that Robert collected in a lot of years!
The idea that "looking healty and fit it's the best way to prove the benefits of a vegan diet" it's something i totally agree with (and something i'm trying to reach)!
So, the best part of the book has been the motivational one: the strong will, the positive attitude, the hard work, the author's story of great changes and successes...
The reason why i've bought was the part about diet: i wanted to know how to eat properly for mass-gaining. For this topic, your book is been usefull to understand how you eat varied, mixing whole food, soy, beans, vegetables and also something less obvious like hemp, seeds and dried fruit. My diet, instead, was more plain...
It'is been usefull also regarding the supplementation: i didn't know anything about protein powder different from the soy one (like the hemp one, or the rice one...) and now i know which supplements are more easy to find in a vegan form (BCAA, creatine, etc).
Just one comment: for me, that i'm italian (european) and not a pro, Robert's diet plan are not so easy to follow. He eat a lot of supplement (maybe more that a non-vegan pro), just like 3 o 4 protein powders shake a day and a lot Vega products (that are impossibile to find in Europe, and i don't know what they contain so i can't even try to reproduce them with solid food). I would have preferred some others diet plans with more common food and more easy to follow for an amateur.
Anyway, explanations and diet plans made me understand the basic principles of a mass-gaining vegan diet, that is the most important thing!
So, thanks to Robert for his job!
It's a great starting point for me!
