A good read 5 April 2006
By Rachael
Format:Hardcover
This is a nice book for people wanting to know more about veg.
Its informative, nicely laid out, and includes some good recipes.
It shows the different ways to cook popular vegetables, and information on some less well-known ones. It also tells you the best time of year to buy each veg and how to store them

Veg 4 Feb 2009
Format:Hardcover
I bought this book for myself about two years ago (although I am not vegetarian)and have used it a lot. I bought a second copy for my veggie nephew as a Christmas gift.
Each chapter deals with a separate vegetable; gives notes about its origins and different types; advice on cooking and cooking times (which I use a lot for reference) and then recipes.
Gregg Wallace has a chatty style which I like.

By Yum
Format:Hardcover
I read this book from cover to cover. The pictures are yummy and you can't help but like the man despite his penchant for cooking all those lovely healthy vegetables with cream or butter. Some of the recipes didn't really grab me (but that's just because me and the author have different tastes - I'm sure they're lush) but all the info on buying, storing and preparing vegetables is fab.
