Worth the money 9 Jan 2014

Sound quality is awful and color is off but to use as a nanny cam or security cam it was very inexpensive and worth the small price. Installation was fairly easy and the amount you can see is awesome. Truth...we caught the nanny mistreating the baby and fired her with in 15 minutes because of the Veevocam so I would definitely suggest. Pay one time and as long as you have wifi you're good. Love that there is an app for iphone and android at no additional cost as well.

Improved Model And Worth Checking Out... 28 May 2014
By JP - Published on Amazon.com
I want to first say the model I tested and review below is an updated model of this product. There have been some improvements made to this system and after testing it for the past week; The Neewer Plug & Play IP Cam has been very stable and I'm really impressed.

I'm pretty tech savvy and had this IP cam setup in a couple minutes. Spent a day or two tinkering with the settings to get everything just right. For those who are new to IP cams, the included CD has a user's guide that will help you through the setup process. If you have even basic knowledge of IP addresses and routing, you'll catch on real quick to the advanced settings, but the unit is designed to be basically plug and play with all the defaults. The included mounting bracket is pretty durable and includes hardware and ankers.

I set up this camera to view it on my Google Nexus 7, but there is support for windows computers (Internet Explorer), Apple gear (Ipad, etc.) and so on. I did also test it on windows and like the functionality.

What I most like about the design on this camera is that it has wireless built-in meaning I don't have to worry about stringing Ethernet or video cable all over the place. The wireless range is pretty good reaching the router from two rooms and one floor away. Keeps things nice and simple allowing for broader installation settings.

I use this cam for keeping an eye on the dog when I'm not home. The two way audio works really well and I'm able to speak to her if needed. The user interface for Windows and Android is acceptable and I have no issues with it. The video quality from the cam looks really fantastic. Almost on par with my Defender Surveillance System, which cost a lot more than the Neewer IP cam.

Overall, I have found this IP Cam from Neewer to be a pretty good value for the money. Setup works, camera functions as expected and if you have even moderately good tech skills you can get a lot of function and use from this IP cam.

Decent camera but software issues 9 Oct 2013
By Mechazo - Published on Amazon.com
The software that came in the CD works fine for LAN but not for WiFi.
It is obvious that this camera is manufactured by the same company but under different names, I tried to download the latest software from Veevocam.com but this site doesn't work, so I went to [...] another site and name for the same camera and I was able to get the latest version of the software, after downloading this newer version I was able to complete the WiFi setup.

Just CRAP, not even worth as a paper weight 21 Mar 2014
By Jack Vu - Published on Amazon.com

In advance, I apologize for not putting this review in any order as I was pretty ticked off bout this product when I wrote the review.

DO NOT BUY, SKIP THIS CRAP AND SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY FOR ONE THAT WILL LAST.

Not hard to setup if you know what you are doing, but it is a pain in the a$$ to get some settings to stick and work correctly.

I had a mount with a bolt that didn't even fit the camera, amazon was kind enough to give me a partial refund for it.

Firmware and web-based operation sucks plain and simple. Minimal settings with minimal instructions. Good thing I'm techy and was able to figure everything else with ZERO help from Neewer as their customer service is slow and crap. Don't even bother contacting them.

Camera reboots on it's own at minimum 3 times a day. It freezes when you move positions and would have to manual restart. Web-based operation is pretty much useless as I've tried it on multiple computers and browsers to have it only work maybe twice, otherwise it never shows up. I would have to use the device client on my PC to view or my smartphone.

I don't have any issues with the QUALITY of the image as I already knew what I was getting when I ordered it. Quality of the feed is pretty good for what you're paying. Audio quality sucks, speakers not so great. WiFi antenna does not come off so you can't upgrade it.

I've had this item for less then 2 weeks and it has already died. I no longer get ANY video feed at all via the Device Client. my smartphone or the web-based operation.
