I agree with the comments about the fiddly accessories and instructions, it says how to put it together but not what to do with it. It's trial and error to see which piece to use for which surface/job, although there is a tool provided for everything and more. The cleaner is nice and chunky but I wouldn't want to be too heavy handed with the accessories or extension tubes.
Having said that, the steam cleaner is actually really easy to use and does the job really quickly. It has been superb in refreshing my carpet, mattress, tiles, shower, in fact I have steamed just about everything which now looks and smells fresh and sanitised (it kills dust mites too). The trigger on the handle is comfortable and simple to operate with a child lock for safety. I did expect it to blast dirt off grout, which didn't fully happen although my tiles are now really shiny and some muck has shifted. I have also been using it on low steam to good effect, and have not tried it 'full blast' yet, which might make a difference.
Overall, now I've got the hang of it I'm really pleased with it, it seems good value for money as you get everything you need to do all sorts of jobs and it does the job well.

This item was swiftly delivered by Amazon and I had several areas in desperate need of attention from this steam cleaner. I have never used a steam cleaner before and didn't know what to expect. This model was a bit fiddly to put together and the instructions are not as easy to read as they could be, but I got there in the end with the help of my nine year old son. Quick warm-up time, and I was away! Tiles first - great job! Not so good on the greasy splashback behind my cooker - steam alone was not going to shift THAT! Some cleaning spray was required as a pre-treatment there- then on to the carpet. Again, the steam on its own is not as good - I sprayed some carpet cleaner on beforehand then used the steamer - FAB job! This model looks good but is a bit flimsy in the extension tube area- it felt like it wasn't going to take much to break it, although the range of accessories supplied is very good - if you can work out which adapter fits which accessory. Good working time before refill necessary, enough for most small jobs around the house. All in all, not bad, could do a bit better in simplifying the instructions and also supply some sort of cord tidy for the power cord.

I got this to spring clean my carpets as my youngest is about to start crawling. There were no marks to shift so I don't know if there's any difference or not - they don't feel or look any different but I feel better thinking they're sanitised. The extension poles are really cheap and flimsy though so I had to ditch them and get down on my hands and knees. I tried it on travertine wall tiles and had limited success - it did shift some of the orange tint you get where the water is constantly running but it took so long I gave up. I then tried it on porcelain floor tiles and it did nothing - I did it much easier with a mop. I used the detailing accessory on the grout which is quite grey now and it didn't do anything to that so I'll be going back to diluted bleach and an old toothbrush. I now have a blister where the cheap grip has been against my hand so in general I'll be going back to my cloths! All in all I'd say it's good for sanitising (I am trusting their claims there though I suppose) but it doesn't actually clean anything. Once in a while it is good to antibac everything though.
