    I have had this Vax hoover for about 6 weeks and overall have been really impressed. I initially bought it because of the appearance; it looked like a machine which would be very powerful.

    I wasn't disappointed, this is incredibly powerful. When I first used it, it was only the day before I had cleaned with my old Dyson and even so, there was so much dust collected in the bin that it looked as if my carpet had not been vacuumed in years!

    This Vax also has an adjustable brush so you can use it on our kitchen lino and also wooden floors, without fear of it scratching - my old broom has gone in the dustbin! It is a little heavy, but no more so than my old Dyson (I think it is because the suction is so strong) and it doesn't really matter because there is a long hose (also a very long cable) which reaches to the top of the stairs, so you do not have to lift it up the stairs as you clean. I really liked the tools for cleaning the stairs, it was really useful.

    I have a dog and one thing which initially put me off buying the V-060C, was that it did not specifically say it was for pet hair, however, when I opened it, it does have a `Turbo tool' this is a very powerful little brush, which rotates and therefore is fantastic for picking up dog hair, even when it is all tangled in my rug. It also has a filter which is supposed to get rid of pet smells, and so far so good - my wife has said there is no doggy smell from the hoover.

    I would really recommend this; it performs extremely well on carpets, wooden floors and dog hair. I think it is great value for money.

    Firstly, it was straight forward to assemble which is a good thing in itself.

    The cleaner is extremely powerful and picks up the slightest crumb. Its easy to manoeuvre and not too heavy. Its is a bit noisy, but then it drowns out my children, which is a good thing.

    I love the Turbo Tool which picks up the dog hairs perfectly without too much effort.

    Overall I thought the cleaner was pretty good, I did purchase the Vax Mach6 origionally, but had to return it as a knob was faulty, I found that the machine was not as powerful, as the Turbo, but again this may have been a further fault with that particular machine. The mache was a lot heavier and harder to manoeuvre, so out of the two I prefer the turboforce

    Bought this cleaner in Sept 07. In a few months it had been back to VAX twice. Appears to have serious design flaws: first the belt snaps when cleaner switched on after emptying the dust box for some reason. Belt is so firm that replacing it often causes you to break off the plastic end of the beater bar. (Costs £18 to replace.) Don't be tempted by robust appearance as that makes the machine very heavy. Going to dump this machine as its pants.

    Great suction but so noisy you need ear plugs! Also heavy and unwieldy - giving it to the children and buying a Dyson!
