CALLING ALL PET OWNERS TRY THE VAX MACH1 C90-M1-C
As many Jack Russell dog owners like my self will testify we love our dogs but they drive us insane with their moulting. For those of you that have never had the pleasure of being a Russell owner they moult all year round.
My carpets have a constant white hair topping and I've never managed to find a vacuum cleaner that will leave them looking like they have actually been cleaned until now....
I have managed to get my hands on a VAX MACH1 C90-M1-C. Now I'm not a great fan in general on cylinder vaccum cleaners as I suffer from arthritis and I find them too much like hard work but this little beauty is AMAZING.
It's compactness and light weight disguises just how powerful it is. The tools are conveniently stored in the handle and include a Turbo Brush for carpets, a hard floor head , a crvice tool and a 2 in 1 tool for delicate surfaces and upholstery. What I love about it most is that it also comes with a Telescopic Tube so I can stand at the bottom of the stairs whilst easy vacuuming the top stair which saves me wrestling with the cleaner on each step. It also has HEPA Filters which is great for my mildly asthmatic son.
The suction on the VAX MACH1 C90-M1-C IS extremely powerful and together with the spinning head of the Turbo Brush rakes up with great ease all the hair that my darling little dog deposits on my floor on a daily basis without me looking like I've run the marathon by the time I've finished cleaning. Best of all my carpets actually look like they've been vacuumed. This machine is definitely an example of the old saying that great things come in small packages.

Bought after reading some reviews on here but the vacuum is terrible. Picks nothing up even after going over the same bit of fluff many times, I end up bending down to pick it up and drop in the tube. The wife never stopped complaining about it, ended up getting a Dyson which is superb. Do yourself a favour, spend the extra now and buy a decent machine.

Bought the Vax because my previous Vax lasted for 19 years (and still works well). I found this one a bit complicated to undo and put together, the flex is not as long as the old model and the pipes/brush head are plastic rather than metal so it felt 'cheaper'. The brush head has only one line of brush and then a plastic fin descends if you adjust it for hard floor cleaning. It took time to get used to replacing the hand tools correctly but I like having them to hand and use them a lot as a result. The cleaner has a powerful suction and a relativley quiet motor though the brush head can squeal a bit (maybe because of the strong suction). This is the first time I have used a bagless cleaner and I still can't empty this without spilling dust that then has to be hoovered up again. The filters take at least 24 hours to dry when washed which puts you off rinsing them (not so bad on a sunny day but more of a nuisance in winter)and puts the cleaner out of use in the meantime. The bad news is my machine broke down after 7 months (was it those filters?). I returned it under the 6 year guarantee, prompt service but still inconvenient. Two weeks later I had no word about it and contacted Vax with my tracking number. The machine seemed to have gone missing in transit but I was sent a new one immediately. (Fortunately my trusty 19 year old Vax did good service in the meantime). I feel these new models are delicate compared with the robust old one. I have retired now so have time to clean out dust chambers, wash and wait for filters to dry but if I was still working and if other family members were using it constantly, I don't know how long it would survive.

Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner
