Product Description

Product Description

The C89-P6-B Power 6 is a compact and lightweight bagless cylinder vacuum cleaner with a generous 3 litre capacity and powerful suction. It’s very easy to clean and maintain, as cyclonic force is used to separate dust and dirt from the air flow. The dirt collects in the container, which empties at the touch of a button. As the power is variable, you can control the strength of the suction making it easier to clean all types of carpets, floors and upholstery. It has a range of accessories including a crevice tool, upholstery tool and dusting brush, and it has a 2 year Vax guarantee.

Box Contains

  • 1 × C89-P6-B
  • 1 × Crevice tool
  • 1 × Dusting brush
  • 1 × Upholstery tool
  • 1 × Instruction manual
  • 1 × 2 year guarantee registration card

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little vacuum...... 25 Jan 2012
By mandynolan TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I think that this is a great little vacuum cleaner.
It is light and small but really powerful......I was surprised that it seemed as good as my much larger vax cleaner....it has powerful suction and I liked the dial to turn the power up or down....I've never seen this function before and I like it...

    Overall, a good cleaner.......

    PROS

    1. Light to carry
    2. Small to store
    3. Good powerful suction
    4. The suction can be changed using a dial....you can turn it up or down...
    5. Good tools
    6. Easy to empty

    CONS
    1. Might be too small for some, but to be honest it has powerful suction....

However, I don't really think that there are many downsides to this cleaner....A good buy.....

3.0 out of 5 stars Small, but very nearly perfectly formed... 16 Feb 2012
    By John TOP 500 REVIEWER
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
For the money this isn't a bad vacuum. It does its job, the suction levels are consistent throughout usage as is the pickup. It also has a number of features that were originally found on high end vacuums; i.e. HEPA filters, cyclonic suction. Build quality is where for me this vacuum looses stars; dodgy retraction on the power cable, the hose feels cheap and the fit on some of the tools is so-so; but then this is a low price vacuum compared to its more expensive cousins in the vax range and economies have to be made somewhere to get the price down.

Build quality aside, this vacuum works and works well, and at the end of the day that's what you want a vacuum to do. Its light, manoeuvrable and easy to clean and keep clean. Vax also provide good warranties on their products so if it does go wrong they'll repair/replace; I've experience of this with an upright we own and the repair turnover was quick and free from hassle, although probably not what you want to hear when buying a vacuum it's nice to know it's there if you need it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Need to wash filter after every use! 4 Nov 2012
I've had the machine for about a year now and have gone from loving it to hating it. It is powerful and picks up dirt well. This, together with the price, is why I bought it and I was happy at first. The problem is that the pre-motor filter clogs with dirt on almost every use. If you don't stop and wash the filter, the filter comes away from its mounting and the machine blows a cloud of dirt out of the back of the machine. To wash the filter you need to dismantle and clean the machine. Washing the filter under the tap doesn't take too long but then you have to wait a day or more for the filter to dry before re-assembling the machine and finishing the cleaning. I don't know how long the filter will last with all this repeated washing. When the filter finally goes, I'm not sure if I'll buy a new filter or just scrap the machine and buy another machine instead. I'll probably go back to a bagged cleaner. This is the second bagless cylinder cleaner I've had and the second useless one.

By ROROBLU'S MUM TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I've had my other Vax for 6m, and immediately I saw that this is a better model: it's more compact and it's definitely lighter to pull. The bin section is definitely easier to empty. It is slightly smaller than most compacts I've had, but with the amount of rubbish it holds and the ease of emptying, this is not an issue. Despite its size and cheaper price, it seems to be a step up from the higher-spec model that I have, and so, great value for money. I also liked that the 'height' of the main hoover head seems lower/more tapered than most, as it went under a bathroom pipe, and under my cupboards very easily, and I didn't need to be as slow or careful as with my existing hoover head.

It's a pretty little hoover and with the transparent bin, you can immediately see if you've hoovered up something in error. I did my whole hoovering routine in less time than normal, and on a mid-setting, as opposed to the high-setting that I currently use, without any noticeable difference. When I did crank it up to 'high' to do a 6x4 rug that my cats love, I immediately saw the difference, and the rug surface was left fluffed up, rather than crushed, and I didn't need to run the hoover over it as much as normal. Setting it to the higher level didn't make the noise any louder, and the setting dial is very easy to use and to access.
It has the HEPA dust-trap technology that with 2 cats and 2 people who suffer from hayfever, our household really needs.

Set up was so simple a child could have done it: just pop in the hose in the hole at the bottom, insert the metal tube and it's ready.

The only disappointing things for me are that, like my existing model, this has plastic floor tools (the main hoover-head got damaged and had to go back on my C-90), standard/basic quality i.e.

I wanted a dyson DC26 and was umming and arring over the cost and reviews, I'm very fussy when it comes to buying products, as I don't have money to throw away, and like my purchases to last with value for money, especially when paying out a larger amount. In the end I purchased this vacuum, I would rather take a chance with this product as it was on sale and reasonable in price for my budget, it also had more positive reviews. I purchased this hoover 3 weeks ago, and I have handled it roughly, hoovering as normal. I was not aware how much dust was in my home until I used this hoover, it picks very well on my carpets (6mths old), and all floors, and bristle door rugs (fitted inside -very old/ looks new now), it has an adjustable power suction dial, picks up well on medium suction, (especially once ontop of the house work) I feel this is a great strong hoover. yes there may be better out there, but not at this price- in my findings, and this was the closest one I could find to a dyson DC26, (which I will own oneday- maybe another model) at a fraction of the cost, with great comparisons. There are 4 filters on this hoover 2 washable filters on the actual cylinder, and 2 cleanable filters on the moter, 1 of which is a hepa filter - to trap small dust & allergens

    pro's
    1. strong ajustable suction, works very well for me, I was amazed (and ashamed being house proud) how much dust was in my home, that was not visible to my eye

    2. easy to use and empty - one button, easy to clean filters - when hoovering up hair- the hair slides off the orange washable plastic filter (located in see through dust cylinder) very easy to remove, and did not affect performance In the interum of hoovering.

    3.

Its great, plenty of power, not even had it up to maximum power yet and I can easily do the stairs, which is the main reason for purchasing. Dirt emptying is easy too.
