Product Description

Product Description

The Vax C88-AM-B Air Mini is part of a range of vacuum cleaners designed to be lightweight.  It’s big on performance just in a compact and lightweight package.  As it uses multicyclonic force you always have constant, powerful suction as you clean.  Multiple cyclones separate dirt from the air path so it collects in the 2 litre capacity container, not the filter.  H12 HEPA filtration removes very fine dust particles, pollen and other allergens so your home is a more comfortable place to be.

1 x C88-AM-B air mini
1 x Combination floorhead
2 x Metal extension tubes
1 x Dusting brush

This vacuum has a fantastic design. It is attractive and modern looking. I found it easy to store away in my cupboard. I was impressed by how easy it is to assemble and use. The multi-cyclonic technology means that it has incredible suction. This is so much more effective than my old vacuum which means that it takes up a lot more dust and grime from my carpet. Using a simple rocker switch it can be used on either hard floors or carpet. The extension tube slides open a good distance so that I am comfortable when using the Vax and do not have to bend down and hurt my back. I am very pleased with my Vax Air Mini and it gets the thumbs up from me.

Purchased to replace my old (and broken) cyclone cylinder.
Fantastic little vacuum, its nice and compact and fits away in my cleaning cupboard taking up a teeny weeny space compared to the old vac. Its lightweight makes it a pleasure to handle too.

Plenty powerful suction, head easily adapts from my living room long pile rug to the kitchen lino to the hall carpet tiles with no loss of power.

The 2 litre capacity lets me do multiple rooms between emptying but I tend only to do 2 or 3 rooms at a time anyway.

Nice selection of tools in the box too for those other cleaning area's where the normal head isnt optimum. I was quite surprised at this elaborate compact cleaner, its certainly just as powerful as any of my friends upright and more so than my last cyclone cyclinder.

I've never had visitors comment on my vacuum cleaner before but this one got them talking when they seen it in action!
I think since its aesthetically pleasing with its sleek lines and modernistic design helped turn the heads too lol.

Excellent manufacturer's 6 year guarantee sealed the deal for me!
Any buyer will be pleased as punch with this purchase - as I was!

Poor build quality, but to be expected for bottom of the range kit. It works though. Weakest point is the fairly stiff hose between the body and the tool. Best point, strong suction and effective results. I wonder how long it will last. My last vaccum cleaner lasted 20 years, I am sceptical that this one will.

We purchased this Vax as our old Morphy Richards had fallen apart. The requirements were for it to be light, easy to use and good suction. It passed all those requirements but down sides are an extremely flimsy hose which gets kinked very easily. The mains lead should be longer and tools holder in a daft place. Apart from that it picks up well and is a compact size to fit in a small cupboard. If the 3 negatives were sorted out it would get a 5 star.

I would rate this higher but my experience with the Vax headquarters/web site is holding me back. Their user guides are not clearly accessible and I am still waiting for receipt of a post motor filter that was missing in the machine. Vax's after sales service needs to be much sharper. I will not bother with Vax if it comes to obtaining a different vacuum cleaner.

I bought it long ago. It is ok as it does what is should. Sucking power is good. Power is not really regulable. What it has is the usual window in the handle that depending how open it is reduces the vacuum sucking power, but the engine is full blast any way. I think that is the way it is in all. The fact that the handle is in the dust container is something I don't like but is not the worst thing.

The main problem I have with it is that the hose is flimsy. It folds at times blocking the succion. Also it doesn't swivel at the vacumm end. It only does it by the handle. This is really iniconvenient and it is part of the reason why it folds. Not that I say fold and not bend because it is more like if it folds. I have white marks in the rubber of the hose, which normally mean some kind of damage. How long it will take to break open is what I don't know yet.

The brush head is bulky and annoying. It is one of this with small wheel that damage the floor and are difficult to handle around. The metal tubes damage the plastic of the handle, shredding pieces anc creating bad damaged. I am using the tubes and brush head of my previous one which are much better.

It is better if you clean it regularly before it gets to maximum level.

The way I see it is that it has very basic design issues that I don't think would be very costly to get right but that make a big difference to the user. Thinking about it after all this time I might not buy it again even for what it cost me. This is using it only once a week in a small flat. If someone is a daily user I would not recommend it at all.

Bought this for £75 on sale for my new flat and for the price I can't really complain; it does its job fairly well and to a satisfactory level but nothing more. I opted for this hoover after reading some of the reviews and was expecting an absolute steal, but what I got was an average hoover that at its £150 RRP price tag is vastly overpriced. The Henry I used at university was far more powerful. I actually can't believe that this is a cyclonic hoover; I wasn't expecting Dyson suction at this price, but I was expecting a little more "oomph".

There are two settings on the hoover; one for soft floors (carpets, rugs etc) and one for hard (tile, laminate). On fairly thick pile carpet it will hoover up most dirt and dust, but will leave bigger bits behind giving the impression that you've thrown it around the room in a mad rush rather than actually cleaned it. The main attachment doesn't seem to sit close enough to the carpet to provide enough suction, a lot of the airflow seems to escape through the sides rather than actually picking up bits of fluff and dirt. On hard floor, however, it perform far better with the hard floor setting actually picking up virtually everything.

It comes with 4 attachments (1 large main one, a brush, tube and a smaller version of the main attachment) but inexplicably only has room to store two of the three items not in use on a holder, which itself cannot be attached to the hoover as the clip is far too small to fit and clip anywhere.

The hoover is incredibly small and compact, making it ideal for small flats or as a spare hoover for utility rooms or cleaning cars. It is also incredibly lightweight, making it ideal for older people who don't want to lug around a fairly heavy Dyson.
