The Varta Universal charger is fast and flexible, ready when you need it most. It has the capacity to charge AA, AAA, C, D and 9 v batteries and has a safety timer for your peace of mind. With 6 LEDs you will always know the status of your batteries and the charger is even equipped with a trickle charge, meaning your batteries will always be at maximum capacity.

Why rechargeables? The 3 E’s:

  • Economy--after the 4th charge you start saving money, and since these batteries can be recharged up to 1000 times over the life of a battery, you could save over £350 per battery!
  • Environment--with each battery being able to be charged up to 1,000 times you not only save the impact of 1,000 batteries on the environment, you also save on packaging and reduce your carbon footprint
  • Ease--save time by always having batteries at your fingertips; no last-minute dashes to the shop

    Well built and a compact desktop size: you can rely on this charger to remain in perfect working order time after time. The bad cell, alkaline and wrong polarity detection means that if you accidently use a standard alkaline battery or try to charge a broken battery, the charger will stop and limit the risk of damage.

    The charger will take up to 4 batteries at once; 9 v batteries can be charged individually or in pairs, and AA, AAA, C and D batteries can be charged in groups of 2 or 4.

    Rather than damaging the environment and your wallet by using large numbers of batteries each year, make the switch to rechargeable batteries.     Very good value for money, would recommend to anyone in need of an all purpose battery charger, I bought it so I could charge my D batteries as they did not fit into my old charger.
