This DVD is sooo good. Can't stop playing it! Wonderful to see the old performers on film and looking really rather uncomfortable out of their Music Hall settings! Wartime archive material fantastic. Memories of the songs that my Mum and Dad used to sing at parties too. Already got one for a friend who loves it too.

Documentary Feature -Variety Acts And Turns Of The Second World War 1939-1945 [DVD]Most disappointing. My wife and I hoped to relive our time through the early 40s.
There were a lot of acts by people we had never heard of but an extreme absence of those we remembered: ITMA, Arthur Askey and Dickie Murdock, Flanagan and Allen, Will Hay and so on for many more who were missing. Only brief appearances by Vera and Gracie.
We did not know who most of the acts were, so did not really get any enjoyment from this DVD.
