Lavish production. Although VF was first published in 1913 the book suffers in trying to brush over the missing years. Editorially, the editor could have still covered the missing years with archive photographs and specially written essays to convey in VF style the monumental historical events - wars, presidents, the arts, sports etc..

It was a gift for my friend, she loves it and she is finicky so it must be good to have been praised

Beautiful book: lavish, glamorous and gorgeous. Be warned, you do need a large, strong bookshelf. This tome is not suitable for flimsy coffee tables.

A lovely coffee table book to dip into with wonderful pictures that are as evocative as they are historic.
