I bought this case after researching cases that were the right size for the Panasonic DMC-LX3 online. This Vanguard model is an excellent fit for the awkwardly-shaped LX3 (Google "Vanguard LX3" to see some photos from owners) and represents very good value for money. The case looks smart and seems well made, albeit very slightly irregular & asymmetrical in places in comparison to, say, a LowePro pouch.
Externally the case has an excellent belt loop secured by both velcro and press stud, a zipper opening that affords good access to the case, a small clip at the top for attaching the case to other things, and a couple of loops for the included neck strap. The interior is made of a soft-touch grey fabric (not unlike Alcantara) that shouldn't scratch your camera and has a small pocket for a spare memory card - although a second battery might be a bit of a squeeze. My example had a few dried beads of glue along the inside seams, which brushed off but could otherwise have scratched the camera body or screen.
The sides of the case are lightly padded and should provide adequate protection from an accidental drop. The packaging claims the nylon exterior is "weather resistant" and while I haven't put it to the test yet, it looks like it should withstand moderately heavy rain.
Overall I'm very happy with the Oregon Slim 7 and would recommend it to other LX3 owners. It's not perfect but it's a steal at this price.
