This is an absolutely fantastic tent, and worth the money. It does indeed pop up in seconds, and you just need to whack all the pegs in, and you're done in under 5 minutes.
It is spacious, yet both warm and well-ventilated. The last tent I bought was a cheap Argos one, and on the first day after use, everything smelt of damp and water poured in through a seam over the door. Not so with this tent, there was no dampness or condensation whatsoever - and no leaks!
It rained overnight and not a drop came in, except a tiny bit by the bottom of the door where I hadn't closed it properly! Total user error there, this tent does not leak.
It feels very sturdy and I'm sure in windy conditions it would be fine.
The porch area is very useful, there is plenty of space to store all your gear (the windows have removable covers so no-one can see in), and it means you don't get grass and mud in the sleeping area. It is also watertight as it is all sewn in meaning you know for sure all your bags will stay dry.
I had the sleeping area to myself, and it easily fits a double foam mat and very large double sleeping bag. It would be fine for two, but a squeeze for three I think, unless you're in those mummy sleeping bags.
I was warm, cosy, dry and very comfortable.
As for taking it down, it's an absolute cinch. Ignore the reviews of people who couldn't manage it, it is because they are useless.
When you buy it, put it up in your garden and practice taking it down a few times. Once you've managed the 'twist', it's very easy to pack away. I can now do it in the same length of time it takes me to put the tent up, it really is easy. The bag is oversized too, so it does fit back in with no trouble.
If you need a good tent for one or two people for a few nights, this is perfect.
