If you are after a stool that's lightweight, portable and sturdy, this does the job. It's not the most comfortable of seats out there, but then again it's not supposed to be. It's practical, lighter than other models on the market and well built.

This little seat is great. It only weighs 1lb (450g) but it seems quite sturdy. I have an older, smaller one of a different make and I bought this one for my husband. The Vango is slightly taller than mine, has a slightly wider seat yet weighs less than mine. As with all tripod stools you have to be a bit careful about your balance when sitting down & getting up but once you are seated the Vango is quite stable. We use ours on walks, pack them in the rucksack and we can take a rest or have a picnic anywhere we like. We are both in our 60s and sitting on the ground is no longer easy for us. Very pleased with this product and I'll probably end up ordering one for myself.

At this price I was expecting a compromise product. Not this, it is sturdy, very comfortable, incredibly light (480g). Ideal for photography, fishing, camping...etc. Highly recomended.
Bought from Videoman, well packed, prompt processing, and delivery.

Believe it or not I bought this to use on my morning commute when the chance of getting a seat on my train into London is pretty remote.
Rather than stand fuming I whip this little fella out from my rucksack and hey presto! It's a commuterstool!
One up to me vs First Great Western!
It's also extremely light and folds up easily. So far so good durability wise.

I bought two of these to take to Glastonbury for me & my wife. They are really small and lightweight, but surprisingly comfortable. When collapsed, the stool fits into the top of a bag and it is so light I hardly knew I was carrying it.

With all that trudging round, it was a major relief to be able to sit comfortably at any time. It was especially useful at night, when the ground becomes cold and damp. This year was unusually warm & dry, but if it had rained or been a bit colder, the stool would have been an even more valuable accessory.

It's definitely worth paying a little bit more for this well-made and lightweight stool, compared to some of the cheaper options available.

Very light at 0.5 kg or 1 lb old money. Sturdy and packs away really well to attach to my photography back pack.

Yes its low as others comment, but I never expected anything else given its design. Can always fall over sideways and get up from all fours. If you want a very light, very portable seat, this is it. Bargain at around £10 delivered.

This stool is well made and light weight ideal for walkers to sit on when eating a packed meal. Easy to collapse and fold in order that it can be carried in a back pack. Ideal for ladies.

MY WIFE HAS REDUCED MOBILITY AND ALTHOUGH SHE CAN WALK SHORT DISTANCES WE NEEDED THIS TYPE OF PRODUCT SO SHE CAN TAKE A SHORT BREAK WHEN WE ARE OUTDOORS. THE PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD HOWEVER IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF IT HAD BEEN ABOUT 4 INCHES HIGHER.

I should have measured the height - I only have myself to blame for the difficulty I have getting down, and more importantly, back up off this stool! But if I could adjust the height it probably wouldn't fit in the hand luggage. So a dilemma. ...
Very lightweight and a small but comfortable seat.
Will keep as I need it for use next week.

Using SWT I'm used to putting up overcrowded trains and whether I get the 7.17 or 7.29 each morning, it's a case of standing in a corridor. Originally bought a £3 seat from Asda, but after a month, it started to fray, and I'm not that heavy !

Bought this as a replacement and I've used it every week days on the travel up to Waterloo. It's light to carry in my "man bag", with the legs pointing out, easy to put up, and more comfortable and stable than the asda version. Comfort is a relative term, as sitting on this for more than an hour wouldn't be great.

So there you go, apart from the £4.5k you pay SWT incompetent fat cats, add another tenner to get a seat.
