Product Description

This is an essential piece of equipment for anyone spending time on the hills. Enjoy lunch in a warm, dry area on a rainy day to invigorate you for the afternoon. In more extreme situations, be reassured that the bright colour and reflective tape on the top of the shelter could save your life.

Bought this, but not from Amazon (sorry), and it's pretty good. Right, what is it? Essentially, it's a cube-shaped basha, but bottomless, with no loops, poles or eyes. If you and your friends are caught in a storm, you drag this out of its own vent (where it's stuffed, so you don't lose a bag), and then all crawl or step inside. Once inside, you all sit down. It's the bodies inside which give it its shape or form. Along two parallel sides is sown an extra black panel along the bottom, on which four adults can easily sit and face each other on either side. Very roomy, easily space for backpacks, etc. There are 3 netted vents and a clear plastic window, so you can sit out the rain, rest or scoff. It's waterproof (3000 HH), very bright, and has reflective strips stitched as a big X on the top. Heats up very quickly. There's also a drawstring around the bottom, so you can seal things up a little. I think it's the same principle with the smaller sizes, too. If you don't intend going with 7 friends, you could, as I will, glue a few loops across the top or at the corners, so it could be used as a basha or a 'cheat's tent'. I don't even think it weighs 2lbs and is slightly less than the size of a rugby ball, packed up. Hope I never need it, but it's good to hook on to my bug out bag. Happy.
