“The book provides the reader with information about the current “hot-topics” in finance and has a clear emphasis on the basic principles of financial management without repetition. Furthermore, as simple language is used, the book can be easily understood by students that are not native speakers of English.”

   --Axel-Adam Muller, Lancaster

“..a useful text either as preparation for a second year course, or as a text for a first

year financial management course that provides a “first sweep” of the major

financial management topics. Not many texts cover this ground well.”

   -- Brian Wright,  Exeter

“This is the best book I have found so far”

--Jean Bellemans, Free University of Brussels

James C. Van Horne, Professor of Banking and Finance at Stanford University. Also the author of Financial Management and Policy, a Pearson Education text.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not bad! 30 Dec 2010
This was one of my required texts for Uni so apart from that I don't really have any comments on it. It's clear and concise which is an advantage to anyone that uses it.

I used Van Horne back in the 70s. I don't know how many accountants and managerial finance people have used it but probably extends into the millions. It just keeps going ...........!

Saved close to $100 compared to what I would've had to pay for a new copy at the school bookstore. Book was used, but in good condition and just fine for what I needed it for. Thanks for the great deal.
