2.0 out of 5 stars Asian Vampires on motorbikes 18 Oct 2005
Format:DVD
I realise now that the opening scene of this movie, a power walking Meredith Monroe (Dawsons Creek) wearing a low cut top on and no bra, was just a teaser to get the audience interested and give the movie a chance.
These are asian vampires on motorbikes in a market which is not a million miles away from 'The Lost Boys' who's fine cast ride motorbikes on a pier, the scene is just a blatent copy of the 80's classic.
So, the girlfriend gets befriended, bitten and kidnapped. Thrown over the back of the motorbike to be taken to the vampires lair. In hot pursuit is the boyfriend, but not after some poor martial arts fighting with another vampire down a dark alley.
And so it continues, poor acting and a terrible script play out for the rest of the movie, throwing in more martial arts, good vampires, bad vampires and the vampire slayers. Not to mention the pointless vampire sex scene which could just have been an extra for all the use it has in the film.
I will leave you with the thought that if Barbie's 'Ken' were actually real, the boyfriend would be the spitting image of him in human form and I think their careers would be in the same place now, bottom of the barrel.

2.0 out of 5 stars Another Bad Vampires Movie 1 April 2008
By Scottish Dave VINE VOICE
Format:DVD
It started with John carpenter's Vampires. A decent enough Vampire film. The followup Vampires: Los Muertos (Vampires II) was pretty awful. This, the third in the series, doesn't fare any better.

The concept is actually appealing. American tourist couple are in Thailand and stumble across vampires. There are good vampires (who don't attack humans) and bad vampires who do (including the female in the couple). Through is some on location filming with martial arts and you should have a winner.

unfortunately you don't. Due to a low budget and some dreadful acting (how bad is the male lead!), this film really disappoints. it has a bad American made for TV feel about it.

Shame as it sounds good on paper. At least John Carpenter's name isn't associated to it.

3/10

2.0 out of 5 stars WOULD YOU DIE FOR ME? 29 Mar 2014
By The Movie Guy TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
Connor (Colin Egglesfield) and his girl friend Amanda (Meredith Monroe) who have nothing in common go to Thailand where she is kidnapped by evil vampires called NIran. In order to save her he hooks up with the good Sang vampires. Unlike real vampires, these vampires travel by motorbikes instead of running faster than automobiles or turning themselves into a bat. That's pretty much it. Most of it is shot at night so we miss out on the scenery.

The film is formulaic and boring. A few cliches and minor attempts at humor.

Parental Guide: F-bomb. Boring sex scene. Stephanie Chao in sheer outfit.
