I would have put five stars, but this book was firmly aimed at children, not middle-aged me. Well written and not at all condescending, I would have adored it had I read it as a child, but sadly, I was unable to suspend disbelief totally. However, I would recommend it for any bright child/early teen.

This was the sequel to Eric Morecambe's other vampire comedy book for kids 'The Reluctant Vampire'. Both came out when I was in My early teens and both of which I loved and still have. I wish Eric had lived long enough to write another as all of his great wit and comedic talent came through in these books.

Loved this book the first time I read it as a child and have been searching for it a long time so glad I've now found a copy I can forward to my children!
The story follows on from the first book and is full of child like humour that made me chuckle even now! A great read for anyone of any age and really should be re-published.
