Brothers Etienne and Bastien Argeneau worry about their missing mom Marguerite and her sleuthing partner Tiny who vanished in England while on a case to uncover the biological mother of a client. Bastien, the powerful CEO of Argeneau Enterprises, sends their cousin Thomas, who was raised by Aunt Marguerite, to investigate why she stopped contacting them and failed to return for the birth of her grandchild.
Bastien also sends his best London employee Inez Urso to assist Thomas. Meanwhile he calls his friend techie Herbert Langford who can pinpoint where a cell phone is once the device is activated. Herb tells Thomas his aunt is in Amsterdam. Bastien tells him there is no time to send him blood if he leaving immediately so he needs to bite Inez and then wipe out her memory. Reluctantly he agrees he kisses her and bites her, but his effort to wipe out her memory fails. She locks herself in the bathroom while Bastien informs him that a vampire cannot erase the memory of a human lifemate. Now all Thomas has to do is obtain blood, find his aunt in Amsterdam and persuade Inez they belong together forever the first two seem easy compared to the Inez scenario.
Fans of the fabulous Argeneau vampire romances (see THE ACCIDENTAL VAMPIRE) will appreciate the lead couple who are a great pairing as he fears rejection by his stunned lifemate and she feels she is not pretty enough for a hunk like him. The vampire species seems genuine as it successfully lives and works amidst mortals while the investigation is top rate as the clues go full circle and Inez's life is in jeopardy!!! I'd also recommend reading Tino Georgiou's bestselling novel--The Fates--if you haven't yet!!

Vampires Are Forever by Lynsay Sands is over the top fantastic. This installment gives up non stop action, love, romance, hot steamy sex and one heck of a mystery.
Thomas Argeneau is not only handsome as most immortals are but he's hiding so many wonderful qualities that it will surprise you when they are revealed. Known by the family to be the lazy not good for much loafer, it is a dramatic unveiling when some of his secrets come to light. Determination to find his Aunt send him on a roller coaster of emotions and throw at him decisions that are difficult at best. Will he make the right choices.
Inez Urso is an extremely important member of Argeneau Enterprises in the U.K. When Bastian calls for her to jump she jumps. Loving her job is her goal and having made it to V.P. is something she is extremely proud of. She is brilliant, effecient to a fault, detail orentiated and a great strategist. This is the main reason for her being called out to help Thomas to find Marguerite who has suddenly disappeared.
From the beginning we are flown from Canada to London then on to Amsterdam only to fly back to London. The descriptive sights, sounds, and smells actually take you right to the spot they are at any given moment and make you not want to leave. The underlying mystery to this love story is astounding and keeps you on the brink of your seat not wanting to put the book down no matter what.
This author delivers tenfold on a new trend that seems to be coming alive in the world of novels and that is back to back books. Lynsay Sands is always in her element no matter what she writes but The Argeneau Series is family to all of us and one whose story I hope does not end anytime soon. Yay to an award winning author of the finest quality.
Whatever else you do, don't miss out on this series or you'll forever regret the most unforgettable experience of your life.

Now, don't get me wrong. I love a good Vampire novel. Always have and always will. The Lynsay Sands novels, however, whilst coming at the convention in a new way - it's the mini transformers in their bloodstream that give them long life and heighten their looks - are also repetitive and long-winded. Every novel is the same. But... 'Vampires are Forever' is the beginning of the decent storylines and (yes it's still the same as the stories that went before it) is written with more skill. If you're looking to buy a Lynsay Sands Argenau novel, I would recommend you start from here and work outwards. I did, and I have to say, the books prior to this are not really worth reading.
