“Vampire Shift will leave you on the edge of your seat, gripping your Kindle.” Paranormal Wasteland Book Reviews

“I recently read an article about Tim O'Rourke and how his books are said to rival Stephanie Meyer's work. The cover alone drew me in and after I began reading, I simply couldn't put the book down.” Abibliophobic Book Reviews

“O'Rourke weaves together a story of horror and romance in this first book of the series, and I cannot wait for the sequel to release. I highly recommend this novel to all readers, both young and old alike. Five stars to this magnificent novel.” Abookvaction Book Reviews

“The entire time while reading this I had goosebumps all over and many times nearly jumped out of my seat with fright. This book is not for the faint of heart I can assure you. Horror fans be warned, you will love this!” Books4Tomorrow Books Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a must read. 3 Aug 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
One of the best books I have read - ever! Recently I have been avoiding vampire novels, but this one has seriously blown them all out of the water. Like with 'Black Hill Farm' the plot twists in so many directions you find yourself constantly accusing different characters throughout the plot, and undoubtably it keeps you gripped right from the very start.

The character of Keira is a girl that everyone can understand. Not like the annoying, simpering 'isnt my life rubbish' kind of females that usually come with vampire books, she is a wonderful well rounded character, and the police scenario adds so many levels.

I am so so so impressed with this book. I would recommend it to anybody. In years to come, this MUST be a bestseller.

And honestly for the price - just download it and see for yourself!!!

This is the fourth book I've read by this author and like the other books, I absolutely loved it. 'Vampire Shift' is a fast paced Vampire-thrill-ride' with a to die for female lead Kiera. She was smart and sassy and a great character. I really liked Potter, Luke and Murphy and thought that they made a brilliant team. The book is dark, creepy with lots of mystery which I really enjoyed and had me hooked from the start. O'Rourke has put a unique spin on Vampires and I've got to say there wasn't a dull moment in this book. It had me guessing right until the end. Well, written and edited, this book has everything, romance, action, mystery and so many vampires! Totally loved it and can't wait for the second book in the series. 5 stars!

If you are reading these reviews, wondering if you should go ahead and purchase this first book of Tim O'Rouke's then good for you, reader reviews are always a good way of discovering if a book is, ok, good, great or fantastic. This book, in fact this whole series of books fall under the heading of 'Fantastic', even 'Life Changing', which is a heading I keep for only a select few! The writing flows beautifully, the characters are real, funny, flawed and awe-inspiring, the story line just gets better and better and before you know it your whole week has disappeared in a haze of reading. I finished the first at about 2am and had to buy the second installment straight away, I found myself still awake at 7am, deeply enthralled in this magnificent story. I had read all of them in 4 days (well, all that were out then!), and then brought all of his other books to console myself!
If you think this sounds a bit gushing, well, maybe it does, I'm not going to explain the story to you, take a chance, buy it, but I'm also not going to apologise for bigging up an author who thoroughly deserves it. I read a lot of books, at least one a day, and I have read some rubbish over the last year but now and again you come across a story that stays with you once you have finished it and this story is one of those.

But he came before the others. He had been waiting for them – I guess anywhere between one and two hours. The female was about five six and had black hair which was dyed blonde.” "e;
