Vampire Assassin is the first novella in a series about a young woman called Jane. Or should I say a young vampire named Jane.

Book 1 starts off with a bang, showing us Jane's current job using her vampire abilities as a paid assassin. But Book 1 isn't really about Jane's job as an assassin or even WHY she became an assassin (Though there is some inkling as to what my drive her.). It's about how Jane became a vampire in the first place. It's her back story.

I found it to be a fast, fun read, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Chapter 1 sees Jane at work as a sassy, smart and imaginative assassin of the vampire persuasion...

Chapter 2 onwards though, was a real revelation for me and lifted my respect for the author to an even higher level.

It is a well thought out, well presented, wonderfully detailed and romantic account of how Jane became a vampire.

Now I can relate to Jane the person, I look forward even more to reading more of her exploits.

This book tells the tale of how Jane became a vampire...and then ultimately a vampire assassin!

Its well paced, has great descriptions of the characters and their surroundings.

I look forward to completing the series with the following installments.
