About the Author

Jess and Nick, a teenage couple expecting their first child are more than a bit shocked to find out it's a moose. Yes, a moose, complete with antlers, droppings and the ability to create havoc anywhere.
Meg Rosoff is always a joy to read; Vamoose is a sweet, funny story that shows the difficulties, triumphs and moments of love that every parent experiences.

Imagine That, A Baby Moose!

Apparently its not that uncommon to have a baby moose, it's rare, but not uncommon. When at seventeen Jess has to break the news to her mother that she is pregnant, she never thought that she would have to explain to her mother that her baby was not like other human babies, but a baby moose. An unwed teenage mother could have worse problems couldn't she?
Vamoose is a quirky little light-hearted story that manages to impress the pressures and difficulties of being a mother, especially when that mother is still only really a child herself and when that mother has a baby that is not altogether what was expected. But when life throws us something crazy, it just may be the best thing that ever happened to us; then again it just may be something crazy. The perfect bit size read for those on the go.
