Amazon Verified Purchase
If you have an older computer with a vga output that needs to connect to a modern TV with only DVI input then this is the cable for you. Although the computer cant detect the correct settings for the TV I am using which is a Original Phillips 720p HD tv. I linked it to another to display a picture and set the resolution on the computer to 1280x720 reconnected it to the Phillips TV and the picture quality is really good. Value for money this is a must buy. Would recommend!

This is a proper DVI to VGA cable, and I'm sure works properly.
However, some DVI sockets (EG on the dell lattitude docking station) do NOT have all the holes.
Thay are issing the analog holes, so this cable cannot work, and won't even fit into the socket.
I assume there are mutliple DVI plug specications.
But the cable is not to blame. The company delivered on time and as ordered.
