Product Description

Originally published by HarperCollins.
In a world where dragons can be sung into submission by dragon charmers, people have forgotten the true power of dragons... and they are about to pay the price.

In the exciting sequel to Mountains of Fire, the spell binding the fearsome Red Dragons is weakening, and when they break free they will seek a terrible revenge. With the help of Silverhorn and Braveheart, Logan and Alyxa flee in search of Logan's long-lost parents, who hold the key to defeating the red dragons.

With Logan unable to do magic, and his elderly wizard grandfather losing his memory, the future looks grim... But Logan refuses to give in and together with Alyxa, Myles and eric he battles the red dragons once more.

The growing interest in dragon books has been fed by an increasing number of books and movies about them. From the very young, to the young at heart, there are dragon stories to suit everyone.
Dragon Charmers is a series that may well suit a broad range of reading levels.
It contains no war, politics, religion or adult themes - it is simply a great adventure for all ages.
If you like ...
How to Train Your Dragon, by Cressida Cowell - Dragon Charmers is a great next step or a complimentary read for the young at heart.
Eragon, by Christopher Paolini - Dragon Charmers is similar in reading level and full of adventure.
Dragon Riders of Pern Series, by Anne McCaffrey - Dragon Charmers is a lighter tale of dragons without the adult themes, but just as indepth and enjoyable.

Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great follow up for the Book 1 Dragon Charmers 25 Aug 2013
By Sandra T Carwile - Published on Amazon.com

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the first one. The story isn't as complex as some stories and the characters not worked out in quite as much detail as some. But still very enjoyable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Valley of Silver 20 April 2013

I enjoy fantasy and dragon subjects in particular. Anne McCaffry's Dragons of Pern books are some of my favorites. Valley of Silver is similar but more for 5th or 6th grade level readers. It has a great plot with lots of action. Students that enjoy fantasy and dragon stories will enjoy this book.

I enjoyed the development of characters in this book. I liked that there were bad guys that didn't have to swear, and good guys that had flaws and made mistakes. Fun read.

5.0 out of 5 stars And yet another awesome book by Linda McNabb . 4 Mar 2013
By Weeweeme - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I really liked this book because it's action packed, full of dragons, and, it has puzzling problems that R difficult to solve. Although it is poorly written, it has a good story. Also, I would prefer it 2 be longer (in my opinion).
All in all, a good book. (Took me just a day 2 finish it. Not really enjoyable 2 finish it in just 1 day).
