As an avid Charlton fan, when I saw this book it was a must have. Curbs was a hero and I was hoping it would go into great details of what happened a Charlton during his time there.
Instead what we get is an average account that does not go into much detail. We hear the facts but it is lacking in the emotion of the game. Some very interesting anicdotes but slightly balnd
Maybe I was expecting too much, an good and easy read and quite frankly a must for any Charlton supporter.

Valley of Dreams is a super read for any football fan, not just Charlton fans. Curbishley is very honest about everything that has happened in his career so far and I certainly have more respect for Curbishley after read this book.
From the tragedy of losing one of his youth players in an accident to his chance of getting the England job he is very honest about what happened and this is certainly a book you can't put down once you start it.
