George Fenton has again confirmed his Genius! With this score he has created music that is utmost enjoyable, it is a huge fun to listen to. Although somewhat 'military-sounding', this score is charged with tons of good ideas, memorable and sparkling tunes and a craftsmanship and versatility that is not only remarkable but incredible. This score CD has it all: from heroic marches and grooving big band sounds to serious British adagios and captivating action music - everything is there.
Not really meditative music to relax when you need a rest, but something that gives you the extra 'boost' when you roll up the sleeves to do the washing up or something similar! ;-)
Give this one a try - you will not regret your purchase!
Oh - the song? Well, wisely it was placed at the end of the album, so it is easy to skip.

George Fenton has really done a good job. March is something that goes much again, and it is done in a fun way. But you can also hear big band music, and love music. Give this CD a try you will not be disappointed.

Good show, Ol' boy! The Valiant soundtrack is a bow to the spirit of the great war film soundtracks like Battle of Britain, The Great Escape, and A Bridge too Far. One can feel the heroics of the RAF - or the RHPS, The Royal Homing Pidgeon Service (yes, it DID exist!) - through this soundtrack. It even has the Band of the Royal Air Force playing the RHPS March! Even the villianous German Hawks have a great theme. A fine musical nod to the Britain's victory in World War II.

One of the most engaging, entertaining and fun scores of the year 2005. Composer George Fenton does a splendid job on creating the "real" athmosphere for this wanna-be-war CG-animated flick. Fanfares, marches, humor, action, love - all in one. Highly recommended!!!
