This album finally gives us the amazing score from Valhalla Rising by punk musician Peter Peter & synthhero Peter Kyed as well as some blood curling soundscapes from sounddesigners Giles Lamb & Douglas Macdougall. Listening to this music not only sends you back in time when man stilled gave worship to the Gods of old, but it also sends you to the deepest part of the mind and even the darker regions of the soul. "Introduction" sound like some good old Einstürzende Neubauten while the psychadelic (which means mind revealing) and even meditative "Hell" gives Brian Eno a run for his money. The furious main theme, present in "Return" and "Valhalla Rising End Credits" sounds like the old gezer Odin himself is beating the guitar and is the highlight of the album. We also have the nightmarish "The Boat" which sounds like it's taken from a horror film. Peter Peter is the lone creator of the track "Free" which is a chilling organ piece which stands in contrasts with the rest of the score while still feeling very much part of it. Many of the internet sources claims it was composed by Giles Lamb & Douglas Macdougall but accoring to the actual linear notes on the album "Free" was indeed composed by Peter Peter while the track "Christians" where composed by Giles Lamb & Douglas Macdougall rather than Peter Peter.
