For complete peace of mind, the ecoTEC Pro 24 features comprehensive diagnostic information whilst coming with push-button operation. This, coupled with comprehensive status information, makes for easy commissioning and servicing. I'm the 'proud' owner of a Vaillant ecoTec Pro that was fitted by a qualified engineer in March 2013.

It's now only 10 months into the boilers life and 2 parts have failed simultaneously (fan and pcb). Any boiler failure is frustrating but when it's only 10 months old it's very irritating and gives me concerns about the longer term life of the boiler.

As it's under warranty I contacted Vaillant to get a repair visit, despite telling them the exact parts that had broken and boiler make and number the engineer, (who took 2 days to arrive) turned up without the necessary parts. The next available engineer visit is in another 2 days. In total Vaillant will be leaving me without heating or hot water for 4 days.
According to their customers services team leader this is a standard turnaround time for Vaillant.

If you want a reliable boiler that you can rely on and don't want to be without heating / hot water for the best part of a week then:

(and Glo-Worm are actually the same company so I'd avoid them too)
