Over the years countless changes were introduced, together making a mid sixties Beetle, for instance, very different from one built in the mid-50s, or mid-70s, despite the obvious similarities.

If you are ever in doubt what kind of handle, collour, shape, seat, wheel etc VW used between 49 and 67 you wil allmost centanly find in this book.

Great book, it helped me identify the month of manufacture and spec levels of my 1961 basket case along. Not just for the 'rivet counters' out there with loads of interesting info for the enthusiast community in general.
