4.0 out of 5 stars Countdown to learning fun, 4 Sep 2003
By A Customer
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This little rocket teaches colours, numbers, music and sounds as well as shapes. It moves from side to side as a shape is correctly slotted through a port hole and when all five shapes are slotted through, the rocket launches dropping the shapes back out as it goes. It is great fun. The only drawbacks are that the shapes are quite bulky making some of them difficult to hold for tiny hands and that there is quite a short time to complete slotting all five shapes through before the rocket resets, although there is a button on the top which launches the rocket so the shapes already slotted through can be retrieved. We looked at many different shape sorter toys before deciding on this one because of the variety of things it teaches and the lights and movement it has to entertain baby astronauts! It has been an excellent choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 28 Mar 2004

My son got this toy for Christmas when he was just 10 months old. Out of all the shape sorter toys he has, this one is the easiest for him to do - so he doesn't get frustrated or bored with it, unlike some of the others. What I particularly like about it is that it is something that I can sit and do with him, cheering him on when he puts the shape in the right bit. 3 months later and he still enjoys playing with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars My 10-month old loves this!, 12 Sep 2003

My son Jack absolutely loves this toy to bits! He doesn't care if he presses the wrong buttons and makes the rocket "blast off"! He hasn't realised that the shape and colour of the blocks correspond to that on the rocket, but he knows from watching me that objects go into the rocket and then it blasts off. Half the fun is in watching Jack turning the rocket upside-down to find out where the music/sound effect is coming from. There are 6 settings available - numbers, shapes, colours, music, sound effects and random play. The colours are bright and attractive, the sound level just right; this toy will last for years.
