Just received the vtech vacuum today for our 17 month old son, who absoloutely loves it! However it only pushes along on our laminate floor, and when taken onto the carpeted area gets very stuck and our son throws a tantrum with it because it won't push along. The problem appears to be the ridge underneath the vacuum that acts as the scoop for picking up the coloured cubes. This ridge is as low to the floor as the wheels are so when encounters any resistence gets stuck. Bit of a design flaw i think, as the description says it is easy to push along, which is only true on wooden/tiled floors. Also it doesn't stand very well on its own, there is no sort of mechanism for keeping it upright, you just have to carefully balance it. But having said all of this he does seem thrilled with it and hasn't put it down since it arrived! So brilliant if you don't have carpets!

My son got this for his first Christmas just before he was one, as he has always been mad about our hoover. He loves pushing it around, the music isn't annoying, and we sing along to it. He doesn't really bother with vacumming the blocks up yet, but he is still young, he just enjoys pushing it around. And it is just the right size for a toddler. He looks adorable walking around pushing his hoover around. I recommend it, reasonably priced, and I think it will bring fun for many years.
