The WALL-E Learning Laptop from VTech is based on the Disney Pixar film character and features a flip-down QWERTY keyboard, interactive hand controllers that turn 360 degrees to answer selected questions, plus WALL-E’s winking eye that encourages interaction. The WALL-E Learning Laptop from VTech teaches letters, words, numbers, logic, basic maths and more, with 15 games in 5 modes of play. There are 3 learning levels, from easy to difficult, to keep young minds stimulated. The games and puzzles improve memory and logical thinking, introduce letters and words to build language skills, and strengthens vocabulary by teaching object/word association. The QWERTY keyboard also helps develop computer skills.

This is well-made and looks exactly like Wall-E. Unfortunately, it is disappointing in that (a) it has a female American voice, not Wall-E's voice (b) The number of games within each activity are extremely limited and do not make full use of the range of numbers and letters. For example, the spelling game - where a child is asked to find the first letter of a word - contains only about 7 words, whereas you would expect it to have at least 26. (c) the display is very small, basic and monotone.
(d) One of the activities does not work.
My daughter loves computers and loves the character Wall-E but has not had much fun with this.

We purchased the VTech WALL-E for our 4 year old son at Christmas. Its early days yet, but as WALL-E is one of his favourite characters, it makes his participation more fun.
The laptop is sturdy & packs away neatly onto a bookshelf when it's tidy up time.
Verbal instructions/commands are quite clear & graphics easy to understand.
Our son likes WALL-E's blinking eye when he gets something correct, as he feels that the laptop is animated!
Can recommend for children 4+, as each activity has scope to grow with your child, (our son at present only uses 2 of the activities). Also fab introduction to become acquainted with QWERTY keyboard layout, return key & arrow buttons, promoting fine motor skills & understanding of direction etc
It has taken a while to explain to our son how to change activities, as he has just turned 4, but should be no problem for a 5/6 year old.

Bought for my Grandson for Christmas and it is fantastic to see it helping him with his education and haveing fun while doing it.
The toy is very robust and has been dropped but works perfectly so ideal for little monsters!
