Mike Laverick is a well known member of the Virtualisation Community and has been writing articles and blogging about the subject from the word go. This book is a great resource for anyone that has to work with a vSphere environment. Whether you are a virtualisation pro or a complete beginner, there is something in this book for everyone to takeaway.

Great book! 23 Jan 2011
Format:Paperback
This was the first book of Mike Laverick's that I have read and I was looking to see how his engaging and entertaining presenting style would translate to a technical book. I was not disappointed since not only does this book contain great learning content and real world practical examples, it is also written in an enjoyable style, unlike some technical books which can be too formal. I would definitely recommend this book both for someone starting out with vSphere and also the more experienced vSphere administrator looking to further their knowledge.

Whilst not directly aimed at somebody preparing for the VCP exam, this book would certainly help you cover a lot of the topics. Used in conjunction with other preparation materials this would be a highly useful resource.

Absolutely Enjoyable and Delightful to Read 13 Feb 2011
By Myo Maw Aye - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
If you want to buy or read only one book on vSphere 4, it is the only book you ever need.

The clarity of information provided, and the depth of technical level and details amaze me. At the same time, it is easy to follow and simple to read. It is absolutely delightful and enjoyable to read. I have compared with a few other books on vSphere with this book - It could be the best book in my opinion!

It worth every cents you paid for.

Good course review 10 May 2010
By Alex - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The book is a good review of everything that was covered and not covered in the course. It follows the exact structure of the course. I found it very useful to review what I learned in the course and it is a good tool to prepare for the exam.
