Bought for 10yr old and it's ok but does look a bit cheap as shiny plastic and cheap buttons and not much zoom but she loves it.
Accepting that this is a cheap camera, it is still also an awfull cheap camera.
As other reviewers have stated, picture quality is terrible regardless of the number of megapixels the output from this camera is simply unacceptable. Forget taking pictures indoor even with flash as your pictures will be noisey and blurry. Outdoors pictures will still look like a webcam from 2002 on a typical british day.
Face detect rarely works and the time from half press to focused is a good second or longer.
All in all I made a massive mistake buying this as I have bought cheap and cheefull digital cameras in the past that have had acceptable results, this doesnt produce acceptable results. Add in that it was a Christmas present for someone and the seller only offers a 14 day refund window we are also stuck with it now.

This was bought for my Daughter for Christmas but even for the price I was appalled by the picture quality. It's on a par with a basic webcam and the whole item looks and feels cheap and nasty. I wouldn't be surprised if this was supplied by some counterfit Chinese operation. Although it states autofocus, there does not seem to be any focusing whatsoever going on!! and it's no good having 8mp of blurry image capture. My first 1.3mp bought in 1998 was far superior in picture quality and that's no exageration. I will be sending back for a full refund as not fit for purpose under the distance selling regulations :-(

Brought this camera for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas a good basic and light weight camera pictures seem to look good on the display but not yet printed any off.
