First of all I want to state that these are the coolest looking headphones I've seen around for awhile, they look sleek and the zip is awesome.

Wearing these are comfortable, the zip doesn't irritate or scratch my skin when worn which is something I was pondering when I first saw them.

As for the sound quality, for most genres such as pop, rock, country etc.. they are very decent, however they really lack in bass; at the current time of writing this review, the packaging states "Extreme Bass", though the product description on both Amazon and VIBE's official website do not state it specialises in bass, so why is it on the packaging? Misleading if you ask me.

That's not the only negative thing about these headphones, when your wearing them on top of clothing to which they can move freely, the zip tag bounces around, to which every time it hits the cable, it vibrates sound all the way up to your ears regardless if your listening to music or not. Whilst this problem doesn't occur when the headphones cable are under for example a jacket, as the tab is secure and not able to move, a lot of people like to have their headphones cable out in view, so for them, this is going to be a problem.

Overall it's a decent product that looks great, but the negatives may bother some people to an extent that would ruin their music experience.

These are practical, comfortable headphones with a good sound and a couple of extra features which are worth noting. The first is the extra silicon ear buds, which should ensure a comfortable fit. The second, and most useful, is the 'zip' feature. No more tangled cables as they zip up neatly in your pocket and then are easily unzipped to wherever you feel most comfortable once you wear them. Although these are red, they come in a good choice of colours - including blue, pink, green, etc, so presumably you can find a colour which suits. The only minus point I could find is that they do not come with a case, which would be nice. However, they are practical, well made and the zip feature is certainly a good answer to the problem of tangled wires and works really well.

These are really nice headphones, clear treble, midtones are good and the bass is nice and rich and warm sounding.

The only problem is the novel zip idea, whilst it's great for keeping them untangled, if you are wearing a coat, i.e. wrapped up warm, the zip is constantly rubbing on your clothes meaning you get a constant rubbing and rustling while listening to your songs, unless you thread it underneath your clothes.

Other than the rubbing noise, these are excellent headphones for the money with 3 different sized rubber cups for different sized ears.

Great value!

These looked like an interesting idea and it's often been the case when commuting with an iPod or similar, that the headphones get tangled up and become awkward to use on journeys.

The zip idea does work and so you only have to open the zip enough to place the earphones and then can close it up for storage. The double lead for the earbuds, goes to a single lead beyond the zip, so in practice this has nothing to get tangled with, either.

The ear buds come in 3 different sizes and are quite soft, so they don't hurt your ears. I have tried similar products and they have made my ears ache after a short period of use, but these are comfortable and cause no problems.

So, all in all, these are well-designed and tackle a few issues that have made similar headphones unusable for me in the past - well done to Vibe for trying to come up with something new and genuinely innovative.

However, I felt these were let down by the sound quality, which was not really bassy and was quite harsh and "tinny" to my ears. Of course personal preference comes into it, but comparing with my usual favourites - Sennheiser PX 200-II Foldable Closed Mini Headphone - Black and my classic iPod - the sound of these was much harsher and noticably poorer in quality. I tried Massive Attack and some Dub Reggae by Sly 'n Robbie, but the bass was decidedly lacking and the sound was biased towards the upper mid range.

Of course the Sennheisers are much more expensive, so maybe when Vibe get round to releasing an "upmarket" version, these will really be the headphones to look out for - but at this price they are perhaps, fairly typical and I would prefer to pay a bit more and get a better listening experience.

First and foremost, I guess it's all about the zipper. I do not carry a handbag with me, so anything that helps reduce volume is welcome. In the case of earbuds, I always just roll them around my iPod, but of course, with time, normal earbuds acquire a nasty behaviour of tangling themselves, and it comes to a point where it doesn't matter anymore how many times you try to straighten them, they will insist on tangling. With these earbuds, that just can't happen! Firstly because the zipper stops the "double-cable section" from tangling, period; but also, because the part that is not zipper, neither is a normal cable, it's like some kind of braid that, in my opinion, looks more durable than normal plastic covering, and also more flexible. Also, they are in-ear, which, in my opinion, offer always a better sound quality than the rest (unless you can pay like over 150 euros for some high-quality brand headphones, of course).

But of course, as of the moment where I'm submitting this review, I've only been using them (daily, while I commute to and from college) for about a couple months.
