At first I was weary of buying this - I hadn't heard of Versus and I thought the low price would reflect on it's performance.
Being I was only really looking for a tablet to do web browsing and email, I was prepared to take the risk. I was so surprised with the quaility and performance of this tablet.
The first thing I noticed out the box was the build quality - although slim, it feels heavier than I expected - it feels like it will last. The actual build quality is fantastic.
Turned it on (came 95% charged) - WiFi simple to setup and within 30 seconds I was browsing.
Thought I would try watching something on youtube...found an HD video and WOW, the quality was far better than I was expecting.
Email was a breeze to set up, BBC iPlayer had to be uninstalled and reinstalled to get the latest to work - (that took all of 49 seconds though). Camera is so so, but if I am going to take any serious photos, I certainly won't be sticking a tablet in the air to take one, thats what a camera is for.
Comes with some standard apps like Docs to Go - tried it out on some excel, word and ppt - all ok. However if you try to open a pdf, Docs to Go wants you to upgrade to the full version - just install the free Adobe Reader app.
Comes with a micro usb to standard usb lead - tried it out on a 32G USB stick - had absolutely no trouble at all reading the ppt content or playing the videos I had on it.
The touch screen is responsive, browsing is quick, standard finger guestures work well (pinch, expand) - for what I want (simple stuff), it is absolutely stonking - so much so, I might be getting another one and I have seemed to have lost this one to the one who must be obeyed...

I was looking for a tablet for a while, did not really know what to go for. Finally took the plunge with the Versus and I am really pleased. Looks great, excellent battery life, screen is really good & bright. Definitely recommend.

Does every thing I need and is a lot handier to use than getting the laptop out all the time.

I was looking for a 10 inch tablet with Blue Tooth, HDMI out, WiFi , front and rear cameras and expandable storage. I never dreamt I would find a tablet under £200.00. The Versus seemed to fit the bill nicely and had everything. Upon receipt I was impressed. It was fast and the video quality could not be faulted. On close inspection the screen on the bottom corner had bubbles were the adhesive had not flowed completely. Also the bottom edge of the screen in the centre was lifting slightly. The finish on the case at the back around the camera lenses was a bit rough. I decided at the price I could live with it as I paid £169.99.Gradually I started having problems with the WiFi connections. The signal reception deteriorated and eventually although on occasions a connection was made it dropped and tried to reconnect but would never get passed the authorising stage for the network connection after which the unit reported that the connection was no longer available. I have other devices using the same WiFi service and these did not experience any issues. I should be fair and state that I did not buy this item from Amazon but direct from a local vendor after reviewing the tablet on Amazon. I returned the unit and the vendor confirmed that the tablet WiFi was at fault. I had a refund due to the fact that supply of a replacement was on long delivery. If another unit had been available I would not have hesitated to stick with the Versus. So sad and disappointed. I now have an Archos which has cost me another £100.00 on top of the original £169.99.

This may not have the credibility of an ipad but what a budget tablet with an incredible 10.1" display. This offers a truly excellent budget touch pad for all. So glad I purchased after viewing for the first time as knew it would sell out quickly which it did, clearly speaks for itself.

(I must say this first before reviewing the product - be careful when it arrives that it is NEW. I notice a previous reviewer mentioned receiving a 2nd hand one and I did too. My clues were missing screen protection film and scratches on inputs for USB and mains - my seller was TAMAYA).

Now the product:

Emails, banking, games, weather apps, SKYPE, general web browsing - basically anything you can do on an Android phone you can do easily on this with the added beauty of a big screen.

I do have occasional 'hangs' but as it has happened more when using Chrome than other browsers, I think it is more to do with Google trying to synch my various devices or when it updates Apps, emails etc.... Since turning off as much automatic updating as possible the device has speeded up.

Positives:
surprisingly sturdy construction (no creaks)
good screen&viewing angles (you're not going to get the detyail of a Sony Xperia Z sceen for this money of course!)
expandable memory
responsive screen
fast enough processor for what most people do on the internet
surprisingly reasonable battery life for a bigger screen
sound with earphones good
easy to operate and sync (particularly if you are familiar with Android)
looks good too when you consider most other tablets are also black rectangles
Bluetooth capability

Negatives:
The WiFi reception is not as good as my phone (my phone picks up the weak WiFi signal at the top of the house but the Versus is intermittent.
