I am VERY hard to please and so it was with some considerable degree of trepidation that I finally plucked up the courage and ordered what I fully expected to be a 2 minute flash in the pan that would end up at the back of a cupboard along with the bread-maker, juicer,sandwich toaster etc. Boy was I wrong - what a truly fantastic machine this is. Ever since I first stood it on the windowsill it has been attracting and ruthlessly zapping every conceivable flying creature that dares make its way into my kitchen. By the end of each day the collection tray underneath has collected between 30 to 40 insects and it makes you realise just how many flies, bluebottles etc actually come into a house when you leave the garden doors open. OK so it's not exactly cheap but as they always say "you get what you pay for" - a truly superb product and worth every penny ( and NO, I dont work for the company or know anybody who does, I'm just a completely genuine and happy customer )

These work ...period!used a little plastic, no catch-um version then decided time to recycle it as it was a false economy! Bought a 30 watt vermatik, ..& all is well, it takes down the biggest of pests with a satisfying crackle ...& they're toast! easy clean tray (you'll be emptying it lots) try & hang it where both sides are exposed to max out it's efficiency, we tend to leave ours on for a few days & nights at a time. house becomes a "no fly zone" great value purchase, better than nasty sprays & constantly knocking the problem down a peg or two. Additional, this has been running for several years now & has been on 24-7 since April 2011 9now writing update end of Nov 2011) ..the unit is still going strong, & the fluorescent tubes show no sign of wavering... so nice not to use horrible toxic flyspray in the house as this seems to catch all the flies along the way. You certainly notice the difference with this in operation! Recommended? you bet! a worthy purchase. Boring & practical, a silent fly killing sentinel, ...there's a lot of satisfaction emptying the tray after a few days in the height of summer.
